operation has grown into world market leadership, with mast production
in Europe and the USA. Instruments, tools, and production methods
have developed over the years in order to meet the demands of cost
effective quality manufacturing. |

The Furlex
jib furling and reefing system was first introduced in 1983. The basic
concept was not new, but Furlex broke new ground with innovative design,
attention to detail, good value and worldwide service backup. Today
Furlex is the world market leader, and a normal feature on any well
equipped yacht. |

Johnson
Marine started as a hobby in 1958 when Curt Johnson Jr. developed
the Handy Lock Turnbuckle. Six years of part-time marketing led to
Curt Jr. resigning his position as manager of engineering for a major
machinery manufacturer to develop a line of stainless steel turnbuckles
and fittings in 1964. The line was readily accepted by many major
sailboat OEM's, and Johnson's continuing ability to develop, manufacture
and distribute a superior product, has made Johnson Marine the industry's
number one supplier of Life Line fittings. |

adapted over the last several years for use in the architectural field.
From the high tech look of stainless steel, chrome, glass, etc. to
the warm look of wood or brass, Hayn lines will accent any decor.
Marine tested and approved with a 40+ year reputation for quality,
delivery, pricing, and customer support, Hayn is now the #1 choice
for architects and designers. |

Mack
Sails introduced the sailing world to Sunbrella self covers for genoas
in the late 1960's. They designed and built the first successful roller
furling mainsail gooseneck and track-on-boom system for reefine. They
developed the earliest practical vertically stowed, self leveling
downwind pole. They re-invented the spinnaker sock, wedded it to their
cruising chute, (other sailmakers scoffed at first, but the rest is
history.) |

Originally
intended as a semi-custom solution for big racing boats, Spinlock’s
XX wedge-action powerclutch has become the indispensable spinnaker
sheet and mainsheet solution on Open 60s, Volvo 60s and IACC for 8-12mm
lines. Even new cruiser-racers like Swan 45 and X-46 are coming to
depend on them because of their exceptional clutching power.
But unlike the lock-open XTS and XCS clutch variants, the XX has never
carried an on/off switch - increasingly needed for these applications
to let line run out freely with the handle closed down.
